The history of the Everlast brand dates back to 1910, when its founder Jacob Golomb decided to start producing sportswear. He began by designing innovative swimming suits, and later he slightly clarified the area of production and began to focus on manufacturing professional and durable helmets for extreme combat sports.
In 1917, the famous American boxer Jack Dempsey partnered with the Everlast brand and commissioned it to produce essential boxing equipment for him, including boxing gloves. Just two years after this fact, Dempsey was awarded the world heavyweight title after a victorious fight, during which he used specialized Everlast gloves. It was these events that brought the brand its greatest fame and allowed it to rank among the top manufacturers of boxing accessories.
As the company grew, Everlast also expanded its product line to include fitness equipment and functional apparel and footwear, including boxing shoes, dedicated to combat sports. The brand was also the forerunner of lightweight boxing shorts, which made a name for themselves in the sports world and displaced heavy leather models.
Everlast has revolutionized the combat sports market, and is now one of the world's most recognized brands, whose products are used by both novice physical activity enthusiasts and professional athletes.
