Joma began producing sports shoes as early as 1965. Although the brand started with four people on board, it quickly gained ground and greatly expanded its business. Just three years after the company's founding, the first professional production facility was established, where innovative sports shoes were manufactured.
A turning point for the brand's development was the development of the CPC (Control Press Chamber) shoe suspension system in 1987. This project revolutionizes the approach to training shoe design and establishes the brand's position in the sports market. Just one year after this event, the company undertakes a collaboration with soccer players from the Real Madrid and FC Barcelona teams. These are Emilio Butragueño and Txqui Beguiristáin. This collaboration brings Joma worldwide fame and makes the brand's products synonymous with high quality and durability.
The 1990s were a period of thriving development for the Joma brand. As early as 1992, the brand-sponsored athlete Fermín Cacho becomes the winner of the 1,500-meter run at the Barcelona Olympics. A milestone for the development of the brand was also the introduction in 1998 of soccer shoes with a unique, colorful design.
Today, Joma's wide range of manufacturer's products includes specialized sports apparel and footwear for sports such as basketball, soccer, tennis, padel, volleyball and running. A wide part of the range also includes models of outdoor footwear. The company uses only proven materials and technological solutions in production, which are characterized by durability and functionality. Among them are the water-repellent water-resistant coating, the seamless cut of the One Piece shoe, and the 360° system that improves the connection between the sole and the upper.
