Deuter is a sports brand specializing in the production of outdoor accessories, whose history dates back to 1898. Initially, the company was engaged in the production of mail bags, but it did not stop there for long, and soon began to expand its range with other products.
The Deuter brand has had a considerable impact on the development of outdoor activities and tourism. Its products were used by the most prominent mountaineers and Himalayan climbers, who, with climbing equipment from Deuter, succeeded in overcoming technically difficult routes and conquering demanding peaks. In 1953, Deuter equipped Herman Buhl's team, which was the first to conquer the eight-thousander Nanga Parbat (8126m). In addition, the company has also been thriving in the cycling industry since the 1990s, supplying specialized backpacks that adjust to the cyclist's body shape.
Today, Deuter is one of the leading manufacturers of hiking backpacks as well as sachets, trekkingbags and bicycle bags and backpacks, handheld kidneys and wallets. Their products can often be found traversing mountain trails, a testament to the company's popularity around the world. The company additionally has a range of tents and other practical accessories for mountain trekking and climbing. Among the leading product series from Deuter are Deuter TRAIL®, Deuter Alpine®, and Deuter Futura®.
Deuter makes its products with due care and is committed to using modern materials and technologies that enhance quality and ensure user safety. These include the RFID system used in wallets and kidneys to prevent theft of card data, breathable 3D-AirMesh fabric, and the innovative Vari-Quick adjustment system. Environmental issues are also important to the company. Deuter uses modern heating systems like geothermal in its production facilities.
